Did you know that axolotls never fully mature into their salamander form in the wild?

For something that just floats about all day, this little guy is very interesting. I've decided to name him Frilliam- he stays with me while I work, and is surprisingly good company. I feel as though he really listens and even understands when I speak to him.

That sounds silly, doesn't it?

Although I believe the tank he currently has is only good enough for a temporary home, as happy as he looks, it does seem rather cramped. I'll have to figure out a more permanent solution, I want my new buddy to be happy and healthy.

I'll have to go into town to see if I can find a larger tank.

A sports bag? Out in the woods? How did something like that get out into the woods- what would be in it that you need moved around?

I'll go get my boots and coat so I can go, but I really can't help but be curious.

Do I get to know what's in it afterwards, at least?

The kitchen window has been boarded up.

I'm afraid I don't have time to clean up the rest of the mess, so it'll have to stay like that for the time being. I don't go into the kitchen much anyways, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Despite my Muse's warnings, I did step on a small piece of glass while working on the window. It wasn't too difficult to remove, nor was it deep, just painful. The cut on my palm was unfortunately slightly deeper than I'd anticipated and besides ruining yet another sweater of mine, it required a bit more attention.

I don't think it needed stitches, and I'm not sure i could've done them very neatly one handed either, so I've settled for just wrapping it up. I'll check on it tomorrow to change the bandages.

Hopefully it won't be too much of a bother, I have to go back to work down in the lab now.

It's 1pm.

I've just woken up on the bathroom floor.

There was blood in the sink, on the floor where I was laying, and most of all, in my mouth. I must've fallen when it wore off, though I don't remember coming into the bathroom. While I was worried due to the blood and the pain in my jaw, it seems I just bit my tongue on the way down.

Thankfully, with the computer logs, I can see about how long the effects lasted and when I stopped updating / responding to things here. I kept that high energy for close to four hours before I stopped logging, and I can't remember much after that last one, so I'll say that's when it began to wear off and I fell asleep.

That puts us at ten hours I've been asleep, sometime during which I moved from the lab up to my bathroom, where I must have passed out, (or I was sleep walking again), and gotten hurt.

I would say it's surprising I didn't wake up from the fall, but I've woken up with worse, so it's not uncommon at this point

I'll catch up on anything I've missed later, I'm still very tired despite how low I was asleep.

I'm going to have a nap now.

I wouldn't say I'm that young though, getting close to thirty in a few years! I'll probably start graying soon, especially with the stress.. F is already starting to. Not that it's a bad thing, I think it suits him nicely!

How's Frilliam? Is he alive and healthy?

Frilliam is doing well!

He's settling into his new tank nicely and seems to enjoy the decorations I've put in. His favorite is laying under the plant pot I've set inside.

When I'm bored, I draw on the glass with a marker to give him a bowtie and top hat.

F will be returning in a few days.

While I'm always happy to have him back, I know he's worried. I'll have to find time to clean up the rest of the kitchen and any other messes I've made.

..and collect all these sticky notes, I've been leaving them wherever they appear, but I'm not sure it'd be a good look to leave them up.

I'll keep them in a box in my room, I don't want to throw them away.

I apologize for the late response, I've been busy lately. Not that I mind, I'm making good progress! I'm sure F will be pleased to see what all I've done when he returns at the end of the week.

Outside of my work, I enjoy star gazing and perhaps the occasional bird watching. F has been trying to teach me banjo, but I'm much better at piano.

As for lycanthropy, I haven't come across any werewolves in Gravity Falls! I can't imagine being one would be great though, especially not with F around- it sounds dangerous, not being in control of my own body.

I would feel awful if I hurt him.

Maybe once or twice, but unfortunately not anytime recently.

We've been very busy with our research and this project, I'm afraid there's not much time for stuff like that, but this project comes before all else.
